The focus is always on your individual goals and needs, and you determine the learning pace, dates and length of the lessons according to your personal requirements.
Your experienced, highly qualified teacher will also provide you with suitable, easy-to-understand learning materials in the individual lessons so that you can achieve your goals with fun and success.
What you can expect in your individual lessons
Of course, you set the course objectives for your supplementary individual lessons individually. If necessary, your teacher will support you in setting your personal goals so that you get the most out of your course.
Popular course objectives in the FocusPlus lessons are:
- Focus speaking: You practise confident and fluent communication for your everyday life or for upcoming trips.
- Focus grammar: You specifically close your gaps in grammar topics that are already covered in your group course.
- Focus business: In the private course, you’ll go into more depth on a wide range of topics relating to business correspondence and communication.
In our group courses, you enjoy lively, stimulating lessons in which you get to speak often thanks to the small number of participants. However, these lessons follow a fixed curriculum so that you can achieve your goals at the respective level.
However, if you would like to cover additional, individual topics outside of the group lessons or close any gaps in your grammar or vocabulary, then our FocusPlus lessons are perfect for you.
Depending on your wishes, you can define your individual goals together with your teacher and achieve them step by step. You will be supported with suitable learning materials that meet your needs so that you can achieve your language goals with fun and success.
This choice is up to you. Of course, you can take your private lessons with the teacher who also teaches your group course. This is usually the best option. This allows you to seamlessly deepen topics from the group course in the private course.
However, if you would prefer a different teacher, this is of course also possible. Thanks to our quality guarantee, you will undoubtedly find the perfect teacher to help you achieve your goals with fun and success.
Regardless of whether you attend your group course online or on site at our school in Zurich Altstetten, you are free to choose where and when your supplementary private lessons take place.

No, there is no minimum number with us. You are completely flexible and can of course book exactly the number of private lessons you really need.
Experience has shown that in most cases it is worth booking at least 10 lessons. This allows you to define your individual goals together with your teacher and achieve them step by step.
Of course you can! For example, you can attend a general language group course and focus on business topics in the private FocusPlus course. In general, you are free to choose which topics you would like to cover and deepen in individual lessons.
This could include pronunciation training, writing exercises, presentation training and much more.
