This training is ideal if you …
No. Teaching experience is not a prerequisite.
If you are motivated, enjoy working with people, and are willing to engage with teaching methodology, you can enter the program very well.
Not necessarily. However, it is important that you have a confident feel for the language you would like to teach and that you are able to conduct lessons spontaneously, clearly and confidently.
For the training, you should bring the following language skills:
For the required reading in Part 1, you may choose between English and German literature.
Yes, absolutely. English at B1 level is required, as the training is primarily conducted in English. Your own practice lessons will, of course, be conducted in German.
Yes. The entire teacher training takes place 100% online, so you can participate from anywhere.
Yes, absolutely. The methodology applies to teaching any language – whether you teach English, German, French, Spanish or another language.
The course is conducted in small groups.
The exact course structure, duration and distribution depend on the number of participants.
All details can be found clearly here.
The total learning workload is approximately 60–80 hours, including self-study, preparation and supervised teaching practice. The time commitment is well structured and realistically manageable alongside work or studies.
Part 1 – Self-study
For the theoretical part, you should plan approximately 8–12 hours in total. You can organise this time flexibly. Some participants complete the theory compactly over one weekend, while others spread it over several weeks. This phase includes reading the required literature, short reflections, and preparation for the practical part.
Part 2 – Practical phase
Between the practical evenings, the average preparation time is around 2–3 hours. If you are preparing your own mini lesson, the workload may increase to 3–4 hours. In phases where you are not teaching your own lesson, preparation time is usually around 1–2 hours. On average, you can expect approximately 2.5 hours of preparation between the practical sessions.
Important: The focus is not on perfection, but on practice, feedback, and continuous professional development.
Participation in the teacher training does not automatically lead to employment.
Depending on demand and your individual situation, there may be an opportunity to complete an internship after the training or, in individual cases, to enter directly into a regular teaching position. Any collaboration depends on current staffing needs, your demonstrated teaching competence and your alignment with our quality standards.
You will receive a certificate that clearly documents your acquired teaching competencies and provides a solid, practice-oriented foundation for your work as a language teacher.
Our training is based on real adult classroom situations. Practical teaching experience is at the centre.
How strongly a certificate is weighted depends on the requirements of the respective institution. Many language schools value practice-based qualifications, particularly for entry-level positions or as a complement to existing experience.
No – our Teacher Training is not a formal qualification such as SVEB (Switzerland) and not an internationally standardised Cambridge qualification such as CELTA. It is also not a national subject-specific diploma such as DAEFLE (French as a foreign language), DITALS (Italian as a foreign language), formal ELE (Español como Lengua Extranjera) certification programmes or comparable standardised teaching diplomas.
Our training is deliberately designed as a compact, practice-oriented qualification with a direct focus on classroom competence.
The diplomas mentioned above are formal, partly state-regulated or internationally standardised qualifications.
SVEB is broadly oriented towards adult education and includes institutional, administrative and educational policy aspects. CELTA is internationally standardised and highly intensive. It includes extensive written assignments, formal assessment systems and a clearly defined evaluation structure. DAEFLE, DITALS and ELE diplomas are subject-specific qualifications for individual languages and may include examination-based, theoretical and curriculum-defined modules depending on the provider.
Our training follows a different approach. We focus exclusively on the concrete teaching skills required in real language classrooms, such as
In short: Other diplomas are broader and more formal. Our training is focused and directly classroom-based.
Because we consciously focus on what truly matters.
Our goal is not to offer the most complex diploma, but to build real teaching competence. We train the skills you need to teach professionally – and leave out everything that is not directly related to classroom practice.
We deliberately do not include:
As a result, the program is more compact, more efficient, more practice-oriented and significantly more affordable.
The earlier you register, the more time you will have to prepare with the required reading material. Working through the literature is a prerequisite for the assessment conversation, during which your understanding will be reviewed.
It is possible to register shortly before the stated “latest entry” date; however, the preparation time will then be correspondingly shorter. We therefore recommend early registration so that you can plan sufficient time for self-study.
By completing the online booking and payment, your place is bindingly reserved.
Yes. All practical sessions are recorded as part of VideoReplay™ and made available to you afterwards. This allows you to review content — and, most importantly, to observe your own teaching and learn from it in a targeted way.
Yes — during the practical phase, having your camera switched on is required. This applies both when teaching your mini lesson and when participating as a trainee. Visibility enables real interaction, targeted feedback and a realistic teaching situation — an essential part of the training.
