Course content
This diploma course provides the ideal preparation for the Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) at level C1. In this Cambridge University diploma course you will learn the language skills required for the exam:
- Reading training: understanding, working with and answering questions about different types of English texts
- Listening training: understanding monologues, conversations, discussions and recorded texts
- Writing training: writing all kinds of texts, such as letters, essays, articles, speeches, statements, etc.
- Speaking training: conducting consultation interviews, participating in discussions, describing pictures
- Use of English: English vocabulary and grammar
Goals
You will learn the skills necessary to successfully complete the Certificate of Advanced English CAE:
- You will learn to actively participate in English speaking conversations and meetings with your own contributions.
- You will be able to understand the essential information of standard texts with colloquial expressions.
- You will be able to write a personal letter and take adequate notes at meetings.
- You will have a considerable English vocabulary as well as a good knowledge of C1 grammar.
- You will be able to use the language skills you have acquired in speaking and writing in everyday private and business situations.
- You will learn important information about English-speaking countries and their people, which can also help when on an English language stay.
