Course content

In this German course for German as a foreign language for beginners you will cover the following topics:
– introduce yourself and others
– have simple conversations in German with strangers
– alphabet, numbers, colours
– fill in simple forms in German
– express feeling/likes/dislikes
– food and household objects
– prices, amounts and units of measurement
– have simple telephone conversations, make enquiries
– tell the time, days of the week, seasons
– daily routine
In this course you will also get important tips for learning German, the grammar, and for language learning in general.

Goals

This German course enables you to achieve the following aims and skills:
– You learn to communicate in German using very simple words in everyday situations.
– You can understand very simple instructions and answer simple questions.
– You can write and understand very simple information, notes and instructions.
– You get to know everyday German vocabulary on an elementary level and have the basic German grammatical structures at your disposal.
– In addition you learn important cultural information on this German course about Switzerland and other German-speaking countries and their people.
