Course information

Swiss German for beginners, part 3. For those with some basic knowledge of German and Swiss German. In this course you will focus on building the basic communicative skills of the Swiss German language. The emphasis is on speaking and understanding in everyday situations. The explanations are given in English language, so your level of the English language should be B1 or higher.

In this online minigroup with only 3–4 participants on average, you get to speak more often and stay connected with your class mates via Zoom or other innovative web channels. Get motivated and discover your appetite for learning!

This group course is already going ahead with 2 participants. This is possible without extra charge thanks to a flexible linear adjustment of the lesson length according to the principle: the fewer the number of participants, the more intensive the learning; the more participants, the longer the lesson.

The lesson duration is adjusted proportionally to the number of participants and is complemented through self-study as follows:
6–8 participants: 120 mins.
4–5 participants: 90 mins. + self study
2–3 participants: 60 mins + self study

The achievable learning goal is rated equally for all these options.

The explanations are given in English language, so your level of the English language should be B1 or higher.

This Swiss German course will help you communicate confidently in numerous everyday situations. Additionally, you will learn about relevant topics about Swiss culture and customs and traditions in Switzerland.

  • You can understand commun instructions and answer simple questions.
