This course is intended for learners who have already completed a course at A1-a level or who have a language ability equivalent to around 30-35 hours of study. We determine your current level free of charge and without obligation through a written placement test.

In this German course for German as a foreign language you will cover the following topics:

– read and write displays and signs
– conduct simple correspondence and telephone conversations

– understand job advertisements, and apply for them
– give instructions and advice
– fill in registration forms in German
– name body parts
– chat about your well-being
– set up appointments in German
In this course you will also get important tips for learning German, the grammar, and for language learning in general.

Goals

This German course enables you to achieve the following aims and skills:
– You learn to communicate in German using simple words in everyday situations.
– You can understand simple instructions and ask simple questions.
– You can write and understand simple information, notes and instructions.
– You get to know everyday German vocabulary on a basis level and have the basic German grammatical structures at your disposal.
– In addition you learn important cultural information on this German course about Switzerland and other German-speaking countries and their people.
